Mini – March 2005
SO here it is the big one! Auto Express's Used Car of the Year is... the MINI. For the first time ever, we have chosen a vehicle that doesn't fit into a traditional market category - and this is because the British-built baby is impossible to pigeonhole. An unparalleled success that has sold far better than parent firm BMW initially expected, the MINI ranks among the most desirable cars on both the new and second-hand markets. Even the earliest models continue to hold their value impressively, while after three years there's still a waiting list for new versions at dealerships. It's a situation we have never known before, and one that proves how enthusiastically the British public has taken the reincarnated baby motor to their hearts.
